Robins Nest Too: Nest started Sunday 15th May, just inside workshop door, wire reels
kicked onto floor to make room above small drawer unit.

Laying: 6 eggs laid between Thursday 19th & Tuesday 24th May.

Brooding: She started sitting on eggs Monday 23rd May.

Hatching: Chicks hatched on & around Monday 6th June, she often stays on the nest while he feeds her & the chicks. Later, both feed hungry babies.

Hazard: Chick fell out of nest Thursday 9th June, put back in with no
apparent harm done. Jay in workshop same day, yet to confirm if
there were any casualties.

Feeding: Only 3 chicks visible on Saturday 11th June, suspect other 3 taken by jay. Parent robins take turns feeding remaining chicks on Wednesday 15th June.

Fledging: 3 chicks got spooked and all jumped out of nest at the same time on
Saturday 18th June. Adult returned with juicy catapillar to find an
empty nest! 1 chick went straight outside, the other 2 stayed in the workshop where the parents continued to feed them (big spider!!).
2 robin chicks still had run of workshop along with 5 swallow chicks
on Tuesday 21st June, bit disruptive to woodturning!

Shared Space: 2 chicks with the run of the workshop, keeping each other company
on 22nd June.
