Laid 5 new eggs in same nest by Monday 19th June when she started
brooding her second clutch.

5 hatched by Sunday 2nd July, both parents in attendance. Nest
getting crowded again by Tuesday 18th July.

All 5 fledged by Monday 24th July. Out and about, playing in the
wind, sometimes back to keep an eye on the workshop from the top
of the inner door (26th July).

Without any obvious gathering, all swallows seemed to be gone by
mid-September, off to Africa for their winter holidays. We look

forward to their return next spring.

He arrived on Saturday 15th April, she followed on within only 3
days this year, arriving on Tuesday 18th April.

For the first time, last year's nest was still in place. Not sure if
they'd use it or make a new one. They just added a little bit more
cow pat, lined it with some extra feathers & off they went.

4 eggs laid by Sunday 30th April, started sitting straight away.

4 chicks hatched on Sunday 14th May, 2 weeks earlier than 2016.

After wandering along the shelf on Friday, all 4 chicks left the nest on
Saturday 3rd June, not going far, mostly grouped together on the
same shelf, the other side of the beam. Off exploring a little bit more
on Sunday 4th June.
